AHLAN RAMADAN

“RAMADAN is a month whose beginning is mercy, middle is forgiveness and end is freedom from the fire”.

The ninth month of the Muslim calendar is known as “Ramadan” and is a time of fasting and prayer throughout the Islamic world, including in the United Arab Emirates. This month-long fast is done to commemorate the first Quranic revelation to Muhammad, and its observance is one of the Five Pillars of Islam – a list of the great deeds every Muslim ought to do in his life to secure salvation.

Indian School Al Ain welcomed the “Holy Month of Ramadan” with a solemn common assembly on 25/05/2017, Thursday. Students performed different activities on the stage. The stage was well decorated with Ramadan symbols and doctrines. The need and goals of fasting were well preached by a group of students. A skit was also staged about the Islamic, Arab culture and Holly month of Ramadan.
